Journal Entry 3:

1-Bartholomae means that individual that writes a short story, an essay, a poem, etc... must interpret it from many perspectives as if he were different individuals reading his work. The individual that basically writes the paper must write from the point of view of a professor or instructor. For Example, you are writing a book on mechanics. One individual may agree with your point of view on how an engine may put together, but another may have another point of view on how it is and in what order. This is the point he suggest to us when we write as authors.

2-Bartholomae is suggesting that when a person becomes “insiders” within academic discourse, that they begin to write as if they were performing not for a class but for the field there are in to test whether they have the knowledge or not.

3-The differences of the example begin with the first students essay. The essay was very concise and uncomplicated. His vocabulary is very minimal and further down the road it was reveled that he plagiarized what he had in his essay from Billy-White Shoes Johnson. In addition to that, the next essay the student uses a vast amount of vocabulary and following that she also contradicts herself multiple times. Primarily she introduces herself as not being creative but using imitation and following thats she states that she was creative to a point making use of her imagination.
